After having an injury a year earlier to my shoulder, I finally had a shoulder replacement done. The hospital & staff were amazing and by the 3rd day I was off the pain meds and recovering well. About 10 days later, I fell at home and broke the upper arm of my surgical side. I needed an ambulance to take me to the ER. Our fantastic local hospital was able to temporarily splint my arm until I could have extensive surgery 400 miles away a week later. They were very good as well and so far I am on my road to recovery... There would be no way for us to see the bills paid if we didn't have Medicare. As seniors, we can barely pay day to day expenses. We have paid most of our lives into Medicare and we feel congress has no right to try to take away our benefits or reduce reimbursements to Medical Providers.
